Durock and Framing Begin

After all of the demo was completed.  Brian was able to reroute all of the electrical required for the new layout and begin the process of framing.  As with many points during the project, Brian went above and beyond to make things right.  We discovered we had a bees next in our ceiling behind the insulation.  Brian was able to remove the insulation and remove the entire bees next (about the size of a basketball) which my wife and I were extremely grateful for.

By removing some of the insulation, he discovered that some of the framing completed during either during a prior remodel or during the building of the house was not done correctly.  Rather than just drywalling on top of it like a lot of other contractors would have done, Brian redid the framing correctly.  He is all about making things perfect and making sure things are done right.  He mentioned linking the show 'Holmes on Homes', so you can understand why after seeing his work.

In the picture below, you can see the durock placed and the plumbing has been changed for the drain.

The beginning of the framing for the new wall.  This would be the start of actually making this feel like a bathroom vs. a sink in the middle of our bedroom.

This is another view of the framing.  You can also see the electrical in place and that he floor vent has been relocated to not be in the middle of the bathroom.
